I get the built-in scarcity to drum up demand, but still not quite fully understanding the decision to remove this game from their online shop.
Why limit sales to such a short period of time?
Does the time limit really translate to increased sales? Somehow I doubt it.
I bought the game and I enjoy it.
At the end of the day, this Intellectual Property is an Asset for Nintendo that can be continually monetized and has already been successfully ported to the Switch. Why not continue to monetize it?
I think this move raises more questions than it answers. I wouldn’t be surprised (and I kind of hope) they end up posting this back up on their digital store in a few months.
